MRI of the Musculoskeletal System: Essentials for the Orthopaedic Surgeon, Clinician, and Radiologist (Visit this link)
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the most commonly employed and most effective advanced imaging modality for evaluation of the musculoskeletal system. Currently, the primary responsibility for the evaluation of these imaging studies resides with the diagnostic radiologist as they are more frequently formally trained in the interpretation of such imaging studies. Clinicians tend to learn how to evaluate MR imaging of the musculoskeletal system via experience and “on the job.” The purpose of this course is to provide the clinicians with the essentials of MRI evaluation of the musculoskeletal system including the major joints and spine, as well as to update radiologists working with orthopaedic surgeons and other clinicians. A systematic approach to the interpretation of these studies will be provided and the participant will learn how to incorporate the ability to read MRI examinations of the musculoskeletal system into his or her practice.
Course takes place on the Classic Mediterranean Cruise, August 9th-16th 2008 Departs Barcelona Spain.
